Thanks, Jim!

Back in late May we met Jim, a 1980 southbound thru-hiker. He was kind enough to share his Shenandoah campsite with us. We really enjoyed his company, and the three of us tentatively planned to meet again in New England.

Well, on Sunday, Jim rode his Harley 200 miles from his home of Copenhagen, NY, to meet us in Tyringham, MA. He had organized a great camping spot for us at Tolland State Park. In addition, he cooked us a delicious chicken fajita dinner complete with beer and Crunch 'N Munch for dessert. In the morning, he prepared western omlette wraps. Amazing!

Jim, it was such a treat to see you. Thanks for coming to see us and for planning such a special visit. We also appreciate the shuttling around that you did. We keep talking about the Katahdin pictures that you brought, and we're preparing ourselves for some incredible hiking!
