Heaven Hills Farm

This cute little bunny is at the petting zoo in Heaven Hills Farm. One tenth of a mile off the trail in Vernon, NJ, this farm has honey bees, a calf, rabbits, chickens, roosters, turkeys, llamas, pigs, horses, goats, and sheep. It was great fun feeding some of the animals. There is even an area with outdoor sinks to wash up after being near the animals. This served a dual pupose since we were able to wash off some of the hiker funk at the same time.

Inside, the farm contains a beautiful plant nursary, produce store, bakery, and ice cream shop. We enjoyed cream sodas, muffins, and lots of ice cream so we had the energy for today's 900 foot climb up beautiful Wawayanda Mountain. "Wawayanda" is Lenape for "winding waters."
