Trail Angels

On Saturday, we had the huge treat of Joanne and Ernie picking us up from the trail at the VT 12 road crossing. Mom C. and Joanne grew up together in NJ. Now Joanne and Ernie live in beautiful Randolph Center, VT.

The weekend was complete with a giant rainbow after Saturday's rains, a steak dinner, a bacon/egg/homefries/and NJ bagel breakfast, a tuna sandwich lunch, a lasagna dinner, and then a pancake and Vermont maple sausage breakfast. Out of this world! We also enjoyed some of the local sights, a hot tub soak, and a re-coating of the tent.

This was such a terrific break from the trail with the warmest company. Joanne and Ernie, thank you so much for your endless kindness. We had the best time, and we've officially fallen in love with Vermont!
